This is for a 2000HP land rig in Mexico operated by Pemex. These packages were bought new at a Mud Pump packager. They sent it to G&C Coatings for disassembly, complete blast, paint, and reassembly. We crated and shipped to the Mexico drilling location. This project took 5 days per pump, 3 pumps per package.
When basting mechanical rotating equipment we use walnut shell abrasive media to ensure gears, bearings and machine components will have the right source of protection. Walnut is an organic media so it is machine safe, it will break down rather than destroy the bearing or intricate mechanical components.
